2010 Annual Process Improvement Symposium

JCSE hosted a successful 2010 Annual Symposium on Process Improvement at the Sunnyside Park Hotel.  Click here for more information and copies of presentations.

The keynote speaker was the eminent international software engineer, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manfred Nagl, Emeritus Professor of Software Engineering, RWTH Aachen University, Germany. His topic was "Managing Dynamic Development Processes". This was followed by a Panel discussion on "The Software Development Sector in India – a world-class industry that has created employment opportunities for many", with presentations from Alok Goswami and Rakesh Misri (of NIIT).

After brunch Prof Barry Dwolatzky, Director of the JCSE, presented an ambitious new strategy - called the "Thousand Job Strategy" - for job creation and improving the performance of the software development industry in South Africa. Participants discussed this strategy.
