Cloud computing is becoming the most widespread platform for modern software applications. This course introduces those who are new the coding to some of the skills needed to develop cloud applications.

This course is taught online. All students must have access to a computer (desktop or laptop) and internet connectivity.
What is the aim of this course?
This course aims to introduce new programmers to the skills needed to work in “the cloud”. While the practical training in the course will be done within the context of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, the principles learnt can be applied to any other cloud platform, both public and private.
What does this course cover?
The course will cover the following:
> Revision of C# (or Java) and developing a Wireframe for an app.
Month Two – Month Four:
> App development using the Azure platform
> Cloud Concepts
> Core Azure Services
> Describe Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Trust
> Describe Azure Pricing, Service Level Agreements, and Lifecycles
About this course?
The JCSE is offering a four-month course on an Introduction to Coding in the Cloud.
This course will be taught on-line to qualifying students. In order to qualify for this course students must be in possession of a valid CompTIA A+ certificate plus either Java or C# certifications. Alternatively you can give evidence of competency in one of these languages. Students must also have access to the internet and use of a laptop or PC.
This course sponsored by Accenture through their B-BBEE skills development program and is therefore free for students who meet B-BBEE requirements. A number of places are also open to non-BEE candidates, who will be charged a nominal fee of R1,500. Upon successful completion of the course will be awarded a JCSE certificate of completion. All Accenture sponsored students will also receive a completion bonus of R5000-00 (which is taxable).
